Hey. :) I haven't used an essence before, but I bought one a few weeks ago and wanted to use it, but I wasn't sure how. When I click on the essence in my inventory, the broker button highlights and that's it. There's the "use item" button but it doesn't highlight. Am I supposed to create a different a pet and then use the essence on that pet or something?

Go to the correct generator ex: The Regular, enhanced, mystical etc. generator that matches your essence type and create the sylesti. The site will automatically use up the correct essence from your inventory. Do not click on it in the inventory tab, that will not do anything other than give you a prompt for selling it via the broker.

To use an essence, go to the generator page. Once there, choose the generator according to the type of essence you have (ie. mythical generator for mythical essence, enhanced for enhanced, regular for regular). You can tell the type of essence you have by looking at the colour (orange for mythical, purple for enhanced, blue for regular) or by looking at its description.

Once you choose the right generator, make your pet by choosing the genes and colours. Take note that different essences have different genetic points (which will allow different number of visible/carried traits) and different amount of colour swing.

Once done, click generate, and the pet should be in your stables. =)

Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate it! And while I'm thinking about it, and before I actually create my very first Nephini (yay!) - I have a quick question.

Okay, so if I create the pet with the "visible" markers, does that mean the pet doesn't "carry" anything? Or does that mean it can still carry them even though they are also visible? I just want to be sure before I finish creating the pet. :)

It's the second one you interpreted, as in, the visible traits are also carried traits.

For example:

Visible= visible + carried
Carried= carried only, not visible
Not Carried= not carried and not visible

Also, be sure to fill in all the colors (or not if you just want white markings/color in one area) and also choose colors carefully, because if you are not using an enhanced or mystical essence the color may be somewhat off, so choose to account for slight variations in color unless you have a color mutator (which you can always purchase later to get the colors you really want).
