This will be a prequel to Waterhearts The nigh't Shadow. Well it will be a prequel partly.

In this 1x1 rp Star and I will show you how Era and Blake met and how Blake convinced Era to go with him, how Era got her name and how Blake trained Era, how they became part of Kim's inner circle of people who help her and basically, what happend with these 2 before the first quest in the official rp.

Era was 6 when she ended up in atlantis and around 8 when she was found by Blake. So this rp will start with Era being 6 and then she will be 8 instead of the 17 you might be used to in the official rp and there will be some time skips later on, untill we reached the part where she is 17 again.

She opend her eyes. It was a bit dark, but she could still see things clearly.

A forest. She knew this was a forest. But... who was she? Where? How?

Try as she might. She could not recall a thing.

She got up, the clothes she was wearing where a bit torn. The breeze flowing past her was cold.

What should she do?

For hours she had wanderd but nobody in sight.

At least not that she knew.

All of a sudden she was pulled in the air. A huge spider had its web out, one line sticking to her and pulling her up. Afraid she began to struggle.

'No stop, let me go!'

The spider laughed. 'Like that ever works'.

She looked at the spider with big eyes, she could understand this thing, was that normal? Does it matter? She needed to escape this thing.'

'It might, you don't know till you try, please let me go.'

The spider stopped, he looked shocked. ' You can understand me?'

Confused she replied. 'Yes I can, why?'

The spider janked her up, one of his paws moving to her face. 'No human ever understood me before.. How intriguing.' 'A pity I have to eat you, So few meals have walked around here, I can not afford to let you go I'm afraid.'

The spider moved his jaws to her face.

In a quick move she pulled the spiders paw from her face and pushed it into the spiders mouth. The spider hurt and surprised dropped the girl. Before he could recover she ran.

She ran and ran. The confusion and Fear setteling. She did not know who she was,where she was or why. And now she wasn't even sure what she was.

All she knew was this. She was alone. Shaken and afraid she dropped to the forest floor and cried. She would allow herself to crie, this one night. She knew she would have to change to survive this place.

And so she did. Not knowing that one day, she would have to change again.

2 years have passed sinds that day. She is 8 years old now. Coverd in rags and clothes made of nature. Her hair messy. With her a simple bow made by a branch and a piece of her old shirt.

For 2 years she lived alone in the woods. Learning how to make traps to catch food, to hide better in the woods, to avoid spiders and if necessary catch and eat them instead. She grew harder, lesser afraid and started to care less and less about her past. What matterd was staying alive. She devolped her ability to speak to animals. The bugs wher usefull in helping her hunt. She avoided talking to animals she had to eat though. The guilt would eat her otherwise.

She figured this live would be all she could have. That she would be alone. Well, she did have her animal friends sometimes. She did not have contact with humans. Nor did she wish it. The one time she met humans here they tried to hurt her. After that she made sure to avoid humans as well.

That was, until that one fatefully day.

There it was a deer. Rare in these parts of the woods. The deer would provide food for 3 days at least.
She took her own made bow and pointed an arrow at the deer. The fresh air of the forrest filled her longs. Silent and steady she moved closer. She took aim, taking a deep breath in and out. The leafs where making noise, the wind moving them.

She was about to lose and arrow when the deer suddenly collapsed. Surprised she hid behind a tree. Soon after the deer collapsed A young man appeared, walking to 'her' pray on 'her' land. It seemed this boy had the same idea as she had.

This would not do, at all!

The deer was hers, she lived here! She would not eat another nasty spider if she could have a deer. She would take back what was hers.

She would wait till the boy was asleep. Then she would make her animal friends help her steal the deer.
She would have a decent meal again.

She would.

Just so you wait boy, that deer wil be mine.

"YES! Another great catch!" Blake shouted out with pride. This was his third animal he caught today! Wait'll the others see it! He was already 18, and managed to hunt decent prey. "Not bad." Blake thought, as he lifted the meal over his left shoulder like a hay sack. It was a few years since he joined the Night's Shadow and it seemed that he was the oldest by far. Kim, his leader, was around 11 this year, like some others.

Blake usually helped with carrying heavy supplies and mainly hunting. Atlantis was an extraordinary place, where nothing surprised Blake anymore. Looking at the sun, he saw that it was setting already. "I wonder what Kim would say..." He mumbled. Oh yeah. Now he remembered. "If the sun begins to set, stay the night out, come back in the morning!" She would most likely say. Sighing, Blake began to look for something to sleep under. Luckily, he spotted a cave near the west, and walked over to it. Good, enough space to hide and last the night in.

As the night set in, Blake curled in the cave, completely un-aware that creatures other than monsters could invade.

The girl waited patiently.

The stranger was asleep. In a cave of all places. Didn't the guy know that THAT cave was the favorite spot of one of the spider leaders?

Hmm maybe she could wait. Perhaps the spider would show up and eat the guy, that would give her room to steal the deer.

Then again, if the spider didn't show up the guy would leave with her deer. Or the spider might eat the deer himself...

No, she had to steal it now.

She whisperd to the bugs near her. 'Ok my friends, this is what we will do... and only whispers could be heard.

After a few minutes she moved to the cave, looking around, making sure the spider boss was not around. That was one spider she was not ready to face yet.

No spider, coast clear. The deer was near the entrence. Lucky!

A bunch of flying insects flew near her, spreading themselves near the entrance, ready to warn her incase teh spider showed up.

At her feet apeard an army of ents. Strong little creatures they where. 10.000nds of those little black ents marched to the deer. Crawling under it and lifting it up. The girl as well moved to the deer slowly. Next to her bow, she had a knife, well sort of. It was on old tooth of the first spider she had taken down. She had sharpend it with rocks. She carried it with her, in a pouch made of pelt.

She started to pull the deer slowly, helping the ents move it. All the time she kept her eyes on the sleeping figure. She almost felt bad for doing this. ... Almost.


(Era can speak to all animals, to whome that isn't clear, but this forrest doesnt have a lot of mamals and the few she encounters she has to eat to survive, so for now she wont have a lot of interaction with the cute fury kind of animals.)

Blake was having a weird dream as he moved around a bit. "Mmmm....You can't....hunt... with...MUSHROOMS!" Blake yelled as he jumped up. Whew! Thank goodness Hunter didn't try to fight that monster with a mushroom!"Mm?" Looking around, he scanned the area. "Oh right, Cave for the night, a few bats, lots of ants...some weird little girl...hm?" He looked back to the girl. "LITTLE GIRL?!"

First thought? Well damn! (Real first thought not appropriate for this place )

They guy woke up, and yelled weird things.

She started pulling the deer until the deer was out of the cave. She then released the deer and grabbed her bow, pointing it at the strange man.

'You know where to take the deer so take it there.'

She said. The arrow pointed at the young man. '' Stay where you are!'

"Well sorry little kid, I've gotta take that deer back! I've got people waiting for me, so!" Blake took in battle position, but quickly ran and down tripped the dark blonde and jumped back on his feet. "I don't know how you're doing it, but I NEED that deer back!" Blake ran past the girl and chased the ants, one thing flooded his mind. He needed the deer no matter what, or god who knows what would happen if he returned empty handed! But another thing bothered him. Who was that girl and why was she there?

She was a quick archer. She knew she was. Yet this guy was fast enough to make her fall.
So the boyman was skilled.

Big deal.

The moment she fell she used her hands to catch her fall, pushing herself back up in a jump. She was not injured, but she did have a smudge of dirt on her cheek now.

She turned around seeing the guy running after her food.

Skilled he might be, he was not very bright it seemed. He had tackeld her, but he had not taken her wapons.

She grinned and drew her bow again, the former arrow still in hand, she pointed the Arrow on his leg, not wanting to kill him really. She just wanted her food.

She aimed and released the arrow. It flying full speed towards the strangers leg.

"Hm?" Blake mumbled as he looked back, to see an arrow...heading straight for his leg?! "WHAT?!" Blake yelled in surprise as he jumped, barely missing the arrow. Instead, the arrow hit the deer. "Great...I forgot the take the weapons, and I now have a meal with an arrow as an appetizer...Shoot!

It was almost daybreak by the time they were fighting! He had no time to play around with this little kid...But she was stealing the deer right? Then...she must be hungry...AHA! An idea jumped to Blake's head. He dodged each arrow that was flying towards him. "Yo!" He kicked her on the shin. He never did intend to hit people around the age of 8, but it was worth it as soon as she stopped shooting arrows. "You're hungry...right? If you let me have that deer, I can bring you to the Night's Shadow and you can have all the food to eat!" At least...they did have enough, right?

Looking again, he saw that ants were crawling all over the deer. "Urg...Note to self: Wash the deer before eating..." Blake thought to himself as he continued to look at the hideous sight of his meat attacked by a colony of bugs. "I hope you survive my dear meal..." He sobbed in my head.

She was annoyed. Pissed, tired, hungry and very very annoyed.

She got of the ground again, her bow now laying on the floor, to far for her to reach.

Tch.

The guy was talking, obviously. Saying things about nigh't shadow something. And food.
Very tempting. At least it would have been, had it not be for the those bandits promised her the same thing.

She looked at the stranger.

'I have a better idea boyman' (her voice is a bit rough, having talked very little, and mostly to animals)

'You leave me the deer, and then scram. I won't have to be hungry that way either. This is my land, I have been living here for some time now, that deer was the first deer in weeks and you shot it right under my nose.'

Being distrustfull of the guy, and his shady Night's shadow. She would not make the same mistace twice.

She grabbed her Fang dagger and gave a high whistle, and then charged him. Hoping to give the ents the time they needed.
