I used the Lesser Genetic Mutator on a captured sylesti - it says that it adds a gene or mutation in a slot where there isn't one that can be visible or carried ~ I used it on my captured sylesti and nothing has changed with it....

That means you got a carried trait- unless you get the pet genetically tested, you won't be able to see what it is.

Like Junco said. The trait added could be a visible or carried. Carried traits require the pet to be genetically tested in order for it to be shown in the pet information.
If you go to the breeding forum, there are people who offer free genetic testing. =)

Oh boy.
Thanks for letting me know that. I'm sorry for posting this as a "bug." I'm still learning and did not know that there were traits that could be invisible to me as the owner of the sylesti!
