Whew! 214 layers wowow
Approximately 22 hours-ish, If all my math is correct?
All Sylestis are imaginary and not based off any particular on-site pet!
The Kelpari shows Glowfish and Seahorse, The Vulnyx shows King Cheetah and Galaxy Stripes, the Nephini shows Nebula and Faded Spots, and the Sylvorpa shows Majestic and Iridescence!
I may have gone a bit overboard, especially on the Nephini... You can find referenced Nebulas here in posts one and three, and I used These Three Photos as reference for the background.
It's all hand-Photoshop-painted with default brushes, and if you need to see the PSD I can upload it and send it to you easily!
(References included out of overcaution ehehe the last site I ever submitted art for was Aywas and they're very careful about copyright so)

Look at all of these lovely entries! so good ah
Mine's still a wip.
The Sylvorpa and Kelpari are colored after a few projects I have in the works. The Kelpari has vis Tiger and Seaweed, and the Sylvorpa has Clownfish and Blue Tang. The Vulnyx is a randomly colored one that I don't think actually exists on the site, with vis Advanced Runes and Spines. The Nephini is my Adrastea. She has vis Leopard and Monarch Butterfly.
This was a lot of fun, and absolutely phenomenal practice with a new program <3 participation prize yeah yeah yeah

Here's mine! Took me about an hour in MS Paint using the fill tool and the curved line tool. Heh, I was so lazy with this, I didn't even shade... Oh well, perhaps another time.
