Are ALL listed in Mutation Design ONE.

I would love to be able to have a Qitari With BOTH Luxurious Locks AND Either Unicorn Horn or Gnarled Horn, But I can only select one.

Could you change it so Both can be selected ?

Or is there a way to breed BOTH a Horn AND Luxurious Locks onto a Single Qitari ?

With the current set-up, I'd say no. While it would be pretty, changing around genes and mutations into different slots seems to cause a lot of problems and confusion for the admins and for affected users. Like when the Vulnyx design was redone and flame design was moved and replaced with Lynx.
In the future they might change things around, but for right now you're just gonna have to pick one over the other two.
Do understand that a LOT of thought has to go into the layering of dozens of different traits that correspond to the six slots! If two traits are going to crash into one another, they need to be put into the same slot so that said disaster doesn't happen. Like, Mane highlights and hair stripes affect the same areas so they can't both be visuals. Same with unicorn horn and gnarled horn.

I want to be able to add Luxurious Locks and the Gnarled Horn, to the Qitari.

NOT mane highlights and mane stripes Or Unicorn horn and Gnarled horn.

I was suggesting they did do a change round to make this possible. This is supposed to be the Suggestion Box after all.

It was merely a thought I had and I think Qitari would look nice with long mane and a horn.

I understand in the meantime I must pick between the two.

I am against changing gene and mutation slots unless it becomes absolutely necessary .

Changing these slots effects every pet in the game that has the traits, and many users become upset when their pets change. It's a big headache that I've seen twice in my time here.

And Yumi did not misunderstand you, she's saying that similar genes and mutations need to stay in the same slot, so if they move unicorn horns, they need to move the rest of the horns to the same slot, or if they move luxurious locks, they need to move the rest of the mane mutations with it. See how it becomes a big headache?

Although if/when the qitari is redone, it does become more of a possibilty!

What Divinis said. Traits that occupy or affect the same areas need to be in the same slot. That or the different traits that occupy the same areas would have to be changed in respect to all of the other traits. Each combo would need different changes to respect all of the other traits. I certainly wouldn't want to be the pixelist with that job!
For example, look at a Qitari with both Lux locks and Carousel. While these two are in different slots, they both affect the tail. Now, Carousel wasn't changed to respect Lux Locks. I noticed it the other day and mentioned it: http://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=15796
Other than the whole slot difference thing, this is an example of what I'm talking about. I'm sorry for the confusion, I was only using mane highlights and stripes, and the two horns as examples. Again, while I do like the sound of your suggestion, which does sound lovely, The process that would need to be implemented for this to be possible would case a massive amount of confusion and hassle for the admins, pixelists, and programmers. They can't just go flip flopping genes and mutations around without redoing a massive amount of work, like layering. Like I said before, it must take a good amount of work, love, and sweat to get dozens of different traits sorted into six slots and then to make sure that all of the different combinations look decent.

Why don't you try suggesting this as a new mutation instead?
"Luxurious Locks (Gnarled Horn)" and/or "Luxurious Locks (Unicorn Horn)"

Would be sort of like the tails on griffis and feathered wings on nixis, only presumably simpler because the art's already drawn.
