Is it possible to add a gene or mutation to a pet that you created or bred? If not, will this change in the future? Seems odd that this would ONLY be doable to captured pets.

As far as I know, only captured pets can be mutated. And I don't think it'll be changed.

I don't really have an issue with that, since the point of the game is to breed more traits into the pet's future lineage. If bred pets can be mutated, it would be way easier to breed, and the game would be less challenging, and the pet economy would be even worse than it is now. And created pets are meant to have that certain amount of genetic points. It doesn't make much sense to me to create a pet with a stated amount of genetic points, only to mutate and increase it later on. =/

Just my thoughts. =)
