Does anyone know what the number of stars displayed for wild sylesti in battle mean? Also, why are some green and others not? Checked out the guides but never saw this mentioned. I am guessing it has something to do with the base stats, since some common sylesti have three stars while uncommon may have only one star. Thanks!

The number of stars indicate the difficulty in fighting them, though you're right, the more stars they have, the higher their base stats are supposed to be.

The colour of the stars indicate the rarity of the pet (ie, their genetic points). The genetic points are the amount of carries/visibles a pet has. Each carry is 1gp, each visible is 2gp.

green (uncommon) has 1-2gp, blue (rare) has 3-4gp, and so on and so forth. there's purple (epic), yellow (legendary), and red (mythical) [though I don't think anyone caught a mythical pet before, so not too sure if there are... =/ ]
So the white (common) pets have no genetic traits at all.

Hope that helps. =)

Thanks, that helps! I will have a better idea of which ones to try and capture now.

You're welcome. =)

Oh, and different rarity of pets require different traps. You can buy higher level traps as you progress the storyline and move on to new areas. The strongest trap (can catch any rarity pet) though can only be bought with diamonds, or from other players.

You already know the answer, but I have pictures to help in remembering these~ c:

Though, the second one can be a bit incorrect in the legendary/mythical area.
You can check out the rest of my guide pictures though, I included a note with the corrected values.

Also, the rarities between the old interface zones (umbra forest/viridian meadows) and new interface zones (astryl's vale/festival zones) vary.

In old zones, uncommon = 2gp, usually 1vis
rare = 3gp, usually 1vis1carry
epic = 4gp, usually 2vis

while the new interface corresponds to the picture. c:

Could this information be added to a guide? I find myself pondering if pets are worth catching for their traits quite a bit and have to think back to remember what the star colors might mean. This information would be really helpful for people looking at the Unofficial guide or whatever.

it's already in guides. Like the one Flute posted the link to at the bottom of her picture. There are a couple more guides that mention this too.

It's a matter of whether new players go and look at the guides, and also if they can find the guide.
