I input his colors into the generator, cause I wanted to see what I should change the pink on his flower too. When I put in the colors, I noticed in his adult picture that the wings suddenly change.
I dunno whether this is a bug, or if this actually just happens to Aeridini... So I thought it'd be good to report it as a bug in case it was.

I think this was reported in another thread here somewhere. I'll get it fixed as quickly as I can.
Thank you for reporting it. =)

-squishes my thread- Wasn't sure if you guys saw that since I didn't get a forum visit from an admin- glad to know that it's been noted and is being worked on!
@Xdarksonicx
Also, love the colors on the Aeri boy! That pink tail would look good if you dyed it either black or red!

I know that this is being worked on, but I've been thinking about this issue a bit lately because it is affecting the way hatchlings look after they grow up [I have to remind myself that the colors on the wings will change when it grows up and I have a really hard time doing that] And well, I think I see what's happening, maybe!
I'll use this girly from my hatchery:
http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=920866
I've noticed that some of the colors used for the basic look of the Aeri design [meaning, when the pet has no visual genes] aren't any of the basic colors [eye, color 1, 2 , or 3] Instead, the color of the base of the flower part is the Mutation two color.
Here it is again on a different girl:
http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=920884
Again, the mutation two color is used instead of one of the basic colors! Now, both of these girls carry something in the mutation two slot, so I don't know if that's altering anything, but I'm pretty sure that this is what's going on!
Sorry I couldn't be more in-depth- I don't have any males to check in on right now and it's pretty late. I just really want this to be straightened out because I SUPER like the look of the first girl with her dark brown and pink colors and I don't want to lose that contrast when she matures [although I do plan on dying out that bright pink into a similar color as that dark brown. I think it'll look better that way. If I remember correctly, I said that the wing tip color changes from the underbelly color to the end of the tail color, and those colors are nearly the same on her, so the color change hopefully won't do much. But still.]

(Assuming you meant one instead of two because it's M1 that effects the tail color and M2 that effects wings... And that I'm understating you correctly...) Because the Mutation 2 on Aeridini is purely a WING mutation slot, it's logical that the pets wing colors come not from the base colors but from the wing mutation colors. This same logic applies to the tail. Since the Mutation 1 on Aeridini is purely a TAIL mutation slot, the pets tail color is decided by the M1 color.
Because on the Aeridini, with M1 and M2, a non-vis does not mean that your aeri does not have wings or a tail flower, it simply means that you get the default wing/flower.
The there are other pets that also do this. Every single pet that has a specific trait bound mutation slot has that color of their body matching that trait. The Griffi's wings and tail colors come from their respective wing/tail mutation slots and the Nephs and Lunes wing colors come from their respective wing mutation slots. :)
Effected pets with white bases and colored gene/mutations:
See? :D

Terribly sorry, the number mix up was my bad- it was very late when I typed that so I'll blame that. But yes, you do make sense. ....so what's causing the wing tip color to change on the Aeridini when they grow from hatchling to adolescent? This is my big issue because that tip color change significantly alters the way Aeris look when they grow up, and I usually buy Aeris as hatchlings. I brought up the tail color thing because I thought that It might have had something to do with the wing tip issue, like maybe color coding was swapped at some point.

Can you provide an example of the Aeridini issue? I looked at the adult image of the pet you gave and it looks the same as the hatchling.

Sheechwan posted images on my thread:
The tips of the wings change from the color 2 to color 3. I made my own example to get the slot colors:
Color 1 is the purple, color 2 is the green, and color 3 is the pink. Fruity.

Alright. I see the issue. The color layers for the hatchling are slightly incorrect in photoshop.
We'll try to get it fixed as soon as we can.
