Makes everything easier for people, can link others just a bit faster, no need to explain which table to go to.
Good for people like me with slow internet for whom waiting around until stuff loads is a problem.

I support this. This is also helpful for threads like "The Pound" where users want to allow people to search through specific stables, specific tabs and link to just those instead of their general stable page.

They are around, you just need to know how to format the link correctly.
Follow this example:
http://www.sylestia.com/view/stables/?stable=16260&tab=3
You can find your stable number at the top of the stable page.

Hmm how does one acquire those links apart from typing them in manually?

The way I usually get links to stables and tabs, is to click on one of the pets in the stable to view the profile page.
From there, click the 'View Stables' option (just above the release option) and it'll take you to that pet's stable and tab.
The link to that particular location will be in the address bar.
Still, it'd be nice to have separate stable links again. I often breed and release pets with different tabs open, so eventually I have to refresh the page to update the information. Nowadays, even refreshing takes you back to the first stable automatically... Can be quite a hassle. :(

The names of the Stables in the Stable List menu are now URL links.
