There's a small bug that occasionally happens when breeding to another user's pet.


Once you breed with the pet, you're automatically taken to your hatchery. In the case of people wanting multiple breedings to the same male, usually their first instinct is to simply hit the back button to go back to the pet's profile page.

When this is done, and you go through the process of breeding with the user's pet by choosing your own female from the list, it doesn't always breed the female you choose.

I think it selects the first female on the list, but I can't be 100% sure.


I remember this happening to me a few times in the past when I was breeding Full Moon Lupora. I would choose a female lupora from my Full Moon stable, check and re-check that I had the right pet ID, but once I hit 'breed' it would instead breed one of my run-in-the-mill lupora from a different stable.

It's been a while since I quickly learned to NOT hit the back button and instead go through the link on the account alerts of "You bred pet with pet for gold." But just a few moments ago the same thing happened to a friend of mine (MourningLily) after I set one of my males for breeding for her.

She messaged me and apologized for breeding three times instead of two, and mentioned that for some reason it bred the wrong female. My male is a Star Crossed Griffi, and she bred one Star Crossed female, one Reindeer female by accident, and another Star Crossed Griffi after she realized that the bug bit her again.

I asked if she used the back button to get back to his profile from hatchery, and it just turns out that she did. Apparently it's happened to her a few times today with other breedings as well, so she was quite happy to learn what caused the bug so she can avoid it later on.


It's definitely a strange bug, and I made a few attempts to try and replicate it myself with a few spare Ny'vene but I had no luck. Since I focus entirely on pet projects I'm out of chances to force the bug myself for better information. (Can't go around wasting precious week-long cooldowns!)


I asked MourningLily and she's fine with me mentioning her in the bug report in case you need to ask her anything about it, Krin. :)

And Xavion and I aren't the only ones this has happened to before. Another friend of mine had this experience as well when he was mass breeding with one of my Male Chilly paws puffs. (Chilly paws and chocolate cherry puffs should NEVER breed - the eggs are atrocious lol)

I'd be happy to give you his name if you wanted to speak with him as well about this bug. Of course at the time we didn't know why it did that and just attributed it to a hiccup in the game.

I changed it so it just reloads the profile page.

I have a bug. My Griffi female 'does not exist!'
I tried to breed and it said one or more of these pets do not exist. so I searched my female named Chimeri and no answer popped up!

Your Griffi is still an adolescent. She won't be able to breed until she's an adult. She'll be ready to breed in a week.
