Well after playing for almost 1 1/2 years and over 57,000 battles I finally encountered my first wild Legendary and got to use the Masterful Trap that I've been carrying around for like over a year!
Not the prettiest Lunemara I've seen...but still my 1st ever Legendary! :)

I've fought over 16k times and haven't encountered one. I wonder the odds of finding legendary and mystical sylestis. I just searched on the advanced search but it seems no one have caught mystical sylestis yet. I'm starting to wonder if mystical sylesti really exist or it's just a myth...

Anyone out there ever catch a mystical sylesti? Or are they myth?

I found 4 legendaries during this past festival alone, although that was probably horribly dumb luck. I ran into one other way before that during a different festival, so not sure but I personally feel like I find more epic and legendary during festivals.
