okay so i caught two rare Aurleons. a male and female. after some color adjustment (Since they both had the same visible gene), i got them to be a decent pair...
so this is what they SHOULD be giving me... (in various color combos)
but suddenly, while i'm checking to see if any really GHASTLY color combos show up...i get ones like these
O_O''' what the devil.....
both the pets have the same visible gene, Bee eater, so i figure they shouldn't have the random different gene show up...but now i'm confused....why the devil...(i have gene tested them too. it's the only gene they have)

If you're talking about this guy >>
He has two different genes he's carrying in the same slot, so the dominant gene (bee eater) is listed.
To see if he's carrying more than one genetic trait in the same slot, either look at his image url, and see the letters listed
http://www.sylestia.com/imagebuilder.php?species=aurleon&breed=sylesti&gender=male&gd1=NN&gd2=CE&gd3=NN&md1=NN&md2=NN&md3=NN&ec=8B2E02&c1=ecfdd6&c2=4189E7&c3=61A7E3&gd1c=06179D&gd2c=B45E66&gd3c=D755E2&md1c=36558F&md2c=BF2B01&md3c=04EC14&maturity=648&size=250
Or do an advanced search on your pets.
If there's only one trait, the letters would be the same. (ie. if he only has bee eater, he would be showing CC and not CE)
These methods only work after genetically testing your pets, which you did.

AHA! so that explains it. i have wondered what the different letters mean. so it's a dominant/recessive gene thing. good to know.
was just REALLY confused O_O not that i minded the outcome. lol. perhaps i'll be a little less confused now, when odd outcomes show up. lol

haha. ya, that's a common problem for pets showing a vis. It's a bit hard to tell if there's more than one genetic trait there unless you know the parents or test them.
Glad that helped. =)
