According to the regional chat, people are definitely willing to pay an arm and a leg, sometimes even both kidneys, for a 3vis wheel pet. What does this mean they are worth, exactly? This is what I set out to find out.

On the black market, a kidney will sell for $120,000 USD in the US (this bit is important! Organ supply fluctuates depending on area). Converted into currency we can actually use, that would give you around 12 million diamonds. Converted into treasure assuming a 1:2500 ratio, donating one kidney to a well-off individual of questionable health will net you 30 billion treasure. Yes, with a B. Naturally, this seems like a fantastic way to earn money on Sylestia. However, we humans must strive for maximum bang for our buck. So what else can our various organs net us?

One eyeball: 190,625,000 gold
Stomach: 127,000,000 gold
Skull with teeth: 300,000,000 gold
Pint of blood: 84,250,000 gold
Skin: 2,500,000 gold/sq inch
Hand and forearm: 96,250,000 gold

Of course, this is not a complete list. This is merely to give you an idea of what people are willing to pay for a 3vis wheel pet, particularly one with attractive genes! But is it really worth the cost? Acting on the wild and unbased assumption that you will win a 3vis wheel pet 1% of the time, then:

It will take 100 spins on average to win a 3vis wheel pet
100 tickets = 40 eggs = ~2,500 gold
40 eggs = 100,000 gold
100,000 x 100 = 10,000,000 gold

So there you have it, folks. A 3vis wheel pet in all realisticness should be worth around 10 million gold probably. Selling a mere eyeball will get you nearly 20 wheel pets! Don't let yourselves be cheated by those luckier than you. Sell an eyeball, or perhaps a stomach. You'll own more wheel pets than anyone else on this site with the money you can get from selling organs on the black market.

Teach the controversy.

Ah, I knew that selling a kidney was the best way to get a wheel pet! I've been trying to sell one since the Festival of Love! However, I am regrettably short on connections with the black market, and so I am not sure how exactly one goes about selling their kidney without the prospective buyers helping themselves to a few other, more vital organs without my consent. After all, I won't be able to enjoy my wheel pet if I don't live long enough to buy it. Is there anyone on this site with reliable black market connections that could point me in the right direction?

Very interesting and thanks for that post! It gave me a big smile and a nice laugh :D

@ Sonatine...you can try China....I heard there's a huge black market for human organs over there. :P

Locating both a buyer and a seller for an organ can be as simple as visiting a high-volume Chinese-language chatroom. In mid-August, around the same time the Ministry of Health made its announcement, a casual browser of Baidu Knows, the Chinese version of WikiAnswers, found the following exchange:
A: Kidney, where to sell one? Thank you.
B: What's your asking price?
A: A hundred and fifty thousand yuan? Where should I go?
B: I'll be taking a ten-thousand-dollar commission. If you can guarantee me a long-term supply, I may be able to lower my fee.
A: What's a long-term supply?
B: Don't you think we have some rules in this industry? If you are the police.....
A: I don't have any supply. I am selling my own kidney and am badly in need of cash. I am nineteen years old.......

I'm glad someone is willing to pay that much for wheel pets. I'm not and I could. But I won't. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. lol

Hmmm. The most profitable over time seems to be blood and skin as we can regenerate that over time.... Any takers? XD

I guess that is true, about blood and skin being things we can regenerate (though I dare say that regenerating skin might be a messy process, depending upon how much you sell). But I can't help but think that selling a kidney just has... tradition. I mean, it's the go-to organ when you want to make a quick buck on the organ black market, right? I'm still a little worried about the dealers deciding that it would be more profitable to empty out my abdominal cavity and throw me in a river instead of just taking my kidney and giving me my money, though. And I've already mentioned that the whole thing would be pointless if I died, because then I couldn't enjoy my wheel pet. So I guess blood is probably the safest option, even if it doesn't sound quite as cool. You know what they say about sweat, blood, and tears, right? In this case, it's just literal rather than metaphorical!
