I'm having trouble with somebody who keeps buying my pets then releasing them straight after and I don't find it very fair grateful. A friend of mine has also had this problem and we'd like to block this member(We're both still kinda new to this kind of thing)

As far as I am currently aware, there is no way to block a user at this time.

Technically when a person buys a pet they take over all rights to that pet and can do what they like with it.

Some of these people are doing it to try and help protect the value of pets in the game and it's nothing against you.

If you are having that much of an issue with it, I highly suggest you raise your base costs on your pets, otherwise you'll just have to ignore it for the time being.

Eventually sylestia will have a NPC character who will buy pets from you for scales (a type of currency)

And that should help to alleviate most of the issue your having now, but please be warned, as far as I am aware, the pets sold to the NPC will just be released anyway. (I could be wrong on this but I wouldn't assume any different until someone else can confirm so)

I know it can seem harsh to see pets released, but it just a part of how the game works. The pets aren't considered dead after they are released because you can still view their profiles, they just go off into the world to explore on their own :)

At this time, you can block a user from comet chat or from sending you pings. You can't block someone from buying your pets.

If you want to block someone from comet chat, you can do so via the Social Network - Contacts. Switch to "Blocked" and add them.

If you want to block someone from pinging you, click the block icon on the ping itself.

However, with what you described above, neither will affect your situation. Once a player purchases a pet, it is their's. The exception is if someone is "buying" a pet to test it for you and it was clearly stated in writing before hand that this was the intention. But - that isn't the case, so once the player buys your pet, it's theirs. You cannot control what they do with it at all.

If you don't want the pet released, then don't sell it.
