In the beginning, I absolutely LOVED battle armor! And then the color designation for part of it was changed to the whole 'darker shading' thing so it dropped off of my favorites list. Still I like it to a point when it has the right colors, but... there's something else that's always been a little bit... off, about it.
The placement of the wings with the Battle Armor is just... ugh, it's horrible. It looks like the Wings are just tacked onto the Battle Armor itself and not even attached to the Griffi. I had never even SEEN the full extent of the Battle Armor because of this until the Elegant Feathered Wings were added in, which are the ONLY ones that line up with it.
The images below will show exactly what I mean, starting with the wings that work, and ending with the wings that clash the most. Notably the female versions are much worse off than the males.
Elegant Feathered Wings: No clash at all, and I honestly think this is by far the best wing set for the Griffi since it actually has a blending point to the body rather than a 'wings magically tacked onto the body' kind of look. I used to like all of the wings until this set came out - now the rest look pretty bad in comparison to me. ^^;
So my suggestion is maybe changing the style of the armor to make it work with the wings better? I realize that not all traits can work well together, but this one doesn't even work with the basic style of wings, or with the first two mutations for wings that were added in the very beginning along with the Battle Armor.
I still love the Griffies regardless though, and I'm still going to breed mine in the hopes of one day getting a 6-vis even if there's currently no possible way to get Elegant Feathered Wings on a purebred Reindeer Griffi, but it would be nice to see some more fitting armor for the species in general. :)
Also is there any specific reason why the male version has the cloth piece on the chestpiece that runs around the back of the neck, while the female version's chestpiece doesn't have that at all? o_O
