Ok,so pet question! What do people want in pets? What kinds of pets?

I have bred 6vis,5vis,4vis and so on Nixis. They barely sold,and yet when I look at the ones for sale,there are some,no different from mine,only different colors,selling for 40k,when I can barely get people to buy mine for 2 or 3 k. <_<

I have heard people want Bulbori,Ny'vene,Griffi,Nixi,Lupes,Luffs,Ryori,Nephi and Faes,but when i breed them,nothing really happens <_<

1. Quality
You'll see in breeding forum people are interested in projects with well worker colors and traits. Often started with essences so the end result is exact.

-good colors
Not necessarily a Hodge podge of colors but people like certain combos of colors that work together

-traits that work together
Not all traits on nixis put together are necessarily appealing. You can get fixed results by using essences to pick recessive traits that people like instead of settling with pets other people sell and breeding those

I honestly don't make pet selling my main business so I don't look for who buys what. But it looks like people are interested in planned multivis projects than random bred nixis.

You also have to be kinda good at genetics to combine all the traits together. It isn't hard to but it takes work to get bunch of traits from carried to vis. After what seems like forever and a bunch of breeding over months, my friends made 6vis luporas, nytes, puffs, and stuff. But they weren't necessarily pretty. People who buy them have to dye them and that's another investment to them.

So it just seems that projects of pretty designs win peeps over

Myself, I'm never really looking for pets, especially just random bred pets. If I do decide to buy a pet, you're more likely to find me in the breeding discussion thread!
What Flute said about color and traits and poop, that's really more what I would gear towards.
Such as this Three Vis Faelora Project of mine: Mocha Red. I sell each baby at 25k, but I've had some people PM me saying I could probably sell for higher! But, even though I make 25k a three-vis baby, Keep in mind the 3-vis's don't pop out every other egg, and the fact that I spent 450k on ONE Enhanced Faelora essence! So, I think with this last 3-vis baby, I'll have just managed to break 200k on cost of Essences. But, also factor in food and such things, and in all reality I LOST gold rather than GAINED gold. Which really proved that selling pets is not a good way to earn gold. XD
So, you could always create a test pair(Not actually generate them, just preview generator,) try them out on the General Chat goers or in the Breeding Discussion Thread, and then after factoring in cost of essences and things pick a price that would actually gain you money, while still being reasonable. :P
