Why do some people have green usernames and others have red?

Are you referring to the trade broker? If so green = online and red = offline.

If you mean the search engine, people with green users are online, while red is offline.
On the forums, though, as well as general chat, Blue/black is the text color for a normal player, while Red(I think Faiona's Chat text color is pink While Krin's is red) is for the Admins Krinadon and Faiona. ^^
