There's a user I want to trade essences with, but the trade broker only allows you to sell your items in exchange for currency.

I think it would be really useful and a heck of a lot easier if being able to trade for other items were to be implemented. Actually, I'm highly surprised that it hasn't been already. I was kinda baffled honestly that I couldn't find an option for it.

You can trade items...in your inventory the trade button is the little envelope. Click on an item and then on the envelope and you type in the username of who you want to send it to.

Thanks, but that's not what I'm suggesting. I want a pure item for item transaction. I don't like the idea of sending someone an item and not getting my part of the trade right away. I guess I've just been on too many sites where scamming is rampant.

This is also the reason I am a little iffy about item trading. I love to think that our community so so tight and loving that scamming won't happen, but the bigger it gets the more temptation of personalities will show up. Plus a streamlined item x item system would make trading big amounts easier, like multiple essences for an avatar item as an example.
