I was wondering about the scale shop, as I nurture about 50-100 eggs a day. My question is it smarter to use scales to purchase Philters or eggs themselves? I know that generally the more scales an egg costs the more likely it is to be carrying a trait. Really big question here, can you find fabled pets in the scale shop and if so is there a ballpark of how many scales they would cost on average? ( I apologize if these question have been answered before as I didn't see any in the user FAQ guides)

If anyone has pets that they hatched from eggs via the scale shop I'd greatly appreciate it if you wouldn't mind posting them here!

I rarely ever purchase eggs from the scale shop. Speaking from personal experience, I've never found it worthwhile, though perhaps another user has had better luck than I have. I much prefer to save up my scales and buy lesser genetic mutators and pet dyes. They can be very useful and they also sell for quite a bit on the broker. The other philters are worth very little and it's better to buy them from the broker instead of using your scales.
However, you can also find something called a golden eggling from the scale shop on rare occasions, and they can contain special items inside of them (like genetic scanners and test kits). If you ever get one, it's best to wait to open it during a festival, as it's possible you can get a festival item out of it.
Also you cannot get fabled pets from the scale shop. The only fabled pets that can be bought from a shop are the ny'vene and the puffadore, and those shops are located in the Astryl's Vale region of the map.

Actually you can't buy the essences from towns, the shops are similar to the scale shop in that you can purchase egglings or hatchlings. c:
