Hi all,
I wonder if its possibal to even get vis6 by breeding if you have no genetic test kit? and is there a guide on how to?? I mean Im not sure if i want to spend real oney (diamonds) for that. IS it possibal to get 1000 diamonds just by playing the game wiithout the test gene test kit?
Clearly that gene test kit is important just wonder if you can even do the breeding part witout it?

Hi Bonsaitreasure!
it is 100% possible to do a 6vis without knowing what carried or hidden traits you have it i sjust a thousand times harder.
a option you can use without getting the kit yourself is getting someone else (like me) who has the infinit kit to test them for you, almost every player is happy to do it for free ^w^

1. yes, entirely possible, since the test kits just make it so you can see the hidden and carried trait genetics info. Doing it without testing would mean you don't know a) what traits are being hidden/carried, and b) don't know when a slot is NN, rendering that offspring not so useful
2. many people offer free testing in the Groups, Guilds, Clubs, and Services subforum
3. You can get diamonds without using real money yes. Diamonds can be obtained as part of the prizes for official forum games (for example, placing first in the Create a Leaf Sylesti contest will net 1k diamonds among other things)
you can buy diamonds from other players for gold on the currency exchange
you can sell things to other players for diamonds too (though there's no direct way to do it, it needs to be done via currency exchanging 1 gold for the agreed dia price)

The logistics of getting people to test pets usually works like this:
1. you and the tester agree on the pets to be tested
2. you set up the pets to sale for the tester (using their ID to make it a private sale) for 1 gold (this could be done in advance of you asking for the test to save time if you have a reasonable trust they'll agree)
3. they buy it, test it, set it up for sale back to you for 1 gold, and let you know
4. you buy it back (and thank them)
Typically in the region chat I see people ask for 1-2 pets tested at a time and that's no problem. In forums people who are offering to do it may specify how many they're willing to do at a time. Personally I wouldn't ask for more than 5 at a time (though I've had the kit for ages and some people may find a lot more tests perfectly acceptable), and in the forums it can take people a couple of days to have a back and forth like that because timezones may not line up ect.
So if you want to do complex breeding projects and breed at scale, a testing kit is the number one thing to save up for.
Though, if you're just looking to breed some 6 vis pets for yourself, without being terribly fussed about traits, breeding with other people's 6 vis guarentees that a gene is passed down in every slot from that side. So with the second generation you know that they have something in every slot and could produce 6 vis offspring without needing a test, though you may not be able to know what traits you'd get.
The advanced search has a lot of good filter options for finding pets to breed with if you went that route.
