Hello there fellow Sylestians!
I am an avid crocheter, but I just never have any idea as to what to make next. Like i pick up the hook, make slip knot and sit there hoping God would plant an idea in my head. (he never does) So then I asked google and it told me to make granny squares and wash cloths. But I am not a granny and I have a surplus of wash cloths. So I decided to see if any other Sylestians were interested in crocheting and wanted to know how common this issue is.

Amigurumi crochet plushies are popular!

If you have a pet that tolerates clothing, maybe a lil sweater? And bags are always useful, as long as you're using a stitch that doesn't have much space in it for stuff to fall through.

(I *can* crochet but I absolutely suck at it, so X( )

I usually have a little scroll on pinterest for inspiration to be honest! But you could make some room decorations (tapestries, garlands), some little plushies of your favourite things, or maybe some clothing like hats or scarves!
But yes sometimes inspiration really doesn't strike and then I find it's usually best to just put down the hook for a bit, otherwise it feels like more of a chore than a fun hobby

If you need more specific inspiration, recently I have made a little bat, a jellycat-like sun, a stardew valley tapestry, and am slowly working on a sweater!

Happy crocheting!

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't usually use pinterest, but I will try it some day.
