To send gold to a person, you must have them set up a COD trade, or cash on delivery. They send you any item and make a request for gold. When you accept that item, they get the gold from you. Usually cheap items or low level gear is used for this process. Mushrooms from the Fungel Forest are common as well. Hope this helps.
