Im slowly chipping away at the event, and some of the tasks require defeating named? Where do I find them?

They have a chance to spawn when you defeat elites. It will say something along the lines of "Your presence has been noticed by a being in the [insert direction here]!" in purple after defeating them, then you go in the mentioned direction to find them.

Ah ok perfect! How long does it take for them to show up? Is it random?

Yep, random, so no guarantee sadly :( They respawn around every 6 hours (usually less), so your best bet is just defeating them multiple times a day.

Btw, if you add the username of the person to the "Ping Users" field while writing a reply, they'll get notified you replied!

Just to add, for each Elite that you defeat, you increase the odds of that attached Named spawning. So the very first respawn will be a very low percent chance. However, as you keep defeating Elites, that chance goes up. Eventually, it becomes guaranteed. Then it resets and starts over once you defeat the Named.
