There is no way to save money to get a third pet slot when all you do is constantly die in harder areas, or get one exp per kill in lower level areas. There is no middle ground from stupidly easy to stupidly hard. And ressing pets costs too much. And there aren't heals to buy without spending money. Please fix this battle system or make healing cheaper.

Sorry you're not having a great time battling so far, it gets a bit more fun and intricate down the line, promise!
There are some free heals, first off pets will heal a bit over time (every 5 minutes real time, as long as you're out of combat), second water and light pets can heal with their skills and lastly you can get potions from missions (those will also net you some easy money!).
Lastly, you may just have trouble battling because the gear on your pets is swapped. Your water pet will want physical damage and strength gear, and your fire pet wants magical damage and intelligence gear. Aside from one accessory your two pets have it vice versa!
Edit: I also sent you some gear pieces that should be better than your current ones :D Illusionist & Evoker pieces for your fire pet, and Assassin pieces for the water pet!

here are some guides that might help:
Guide to making gold (general)
Guide to mission pets and missions (missions are objectively one of the best ways to make gold, and are accessible at all times. Missions reward pet exp, town reputation points, and mission satchels. Mission satchels can contain more gold, equipment, healing items, or- very rarely- generator essences)
Guide to battling (specifically, posts 2 and 3, where it goes over the elements, optimal proficiency spreads (for lv75), party positions, and equipment)
As Leen mentioned, pets also heal over time when not in battle. It takes a little longer for them to recover from battle-induced unconsciousness I believe, like, 10-15 minutes? If you're doing missions with properly set up mission pets, though, you should get a decent stream of healing items so you can just revive them with those if needed

There have been 3 each of 2 kinds of healing items. Those were used incredibly fast. I have read the guides. This is not helpful to my specific issue. It seems like it is either waiting to play again, or spending all my money on healing at the plaza.

Thanks for the items. I will try it again a few more times, but honestly I might not stick around. Sorry, the entire site feels a bit like a cash grab.

One thing I notice is that you are using the wrong Relics on both of your battle pets. This will greatly hinder your battle success.
The Water Element is a Physical Damage element. You should be using a Physical Damage Relic and lots of Strength equipment.
The Fire Element is a Magical Damage element. You should be using a Magical Damage Relic and lots of Intelligence equipment.
Also, when battling, make sure to use Mend whenever it's available. It provides a lot of healing early on.
I'm not sure which Pet you are using to tank (the one in the first party slot), but it should be your Water pet. It will mitigate damage a little bit better than a Fire pet will due to Frost procs.
Lastly, you can always return to areas you've already cleared and farm for a bit. It's a really easy way to make some quick Gold. Just sell all of the equipment. You'll also get some free consumables you can keep to use or sell.

Sorry you're not having fun with the battling. Other people have offered much better advice than I could, so I'd just like to add that there are other mechanics to enjoy on the site. I prefer collecting/breeding pets and customizing my avatar, and earning money for these things gets easier after you push through some of the rougher battling sections and can send your pets on the high level missions.
