I Have a few pets I wanted to spruce up a bit, but after starting a pet project with the 3 of the regular essences and noticing the colour differences there, I was a little disappointed at how much of a swing there was. I assume the same colour differences (Swings) apply to the lesser pet dyes and regular essences. Iam doing this not only for my own research but that it might help and benefit others too.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

I May produce 1 more female so there is a greater chance of colour accuracy as breeding will change the final results and even out colour swing.

I am not sure if future breedings can also result in colour swings once you have a final result after breeding many times. I will clarify and edit post accordingly once confirmed.

I Have this Aeridini I added 2 colours to improve looks

I wanted to conserve amount of dyes and decided to go with these options

Want
Gene1: FCC630 R:252 G:198 B:48
Gene2: 241A1F R:36 G:26 B:31

Final Result

Gene1: D79905 R:215 G:153 B:5 [ -37, -45, -43]
Gene2: 271E22 R: 39 G:30 B:34 [+3, +4, +3]

Notes: Colours swings seem worse on ends of spectrum closer white scale

Iam happy with improved looks even though Gene1 was changed a lot

Again I only used 2 colours I thought would make her look better

Original
C1: R:141 G:114 B:128
C3: R:110 G:091 B:086

Before

Want

C1: R:110 G:54 B:1
C3: R:39 G:133 B:27

Recieved

C1: R:129 G:82 B:42 ... difference [ +19, +28, - 41]
C3: R:47 G:135 B:25 .....................[ +8, +2, - 2]

I think she turned out great considering the swing in Blue at C1.
Would have been better darker but much improved on Original

Note: Colour swing very small on the Dark Green Colour
