8 Years ago wow... I was fairly newish when I left. Spent the last few days reading and reaquainting myself with everything.

A lot has changed.

I am really enjoying the festival. Lots of new Pets.

I am an older Lady a Grandmother actually. I lhave loved art drawing and painting since I was young and I love animals. These 2 things seem to be very common amongst most of us here.

Thanks actually finding it difficult battling in Astryl's Meadow. losing whole party even though I have made my way upto the Arena area without too much trouble. Some of the named enemies in the Meadow are brutal.Im sure its me I have the best gear I could find it could be my build which worked fine in lower levels but having trouble now at lvl 53 .

Hmmm from what I can see you are using the 3 Qitari in Stall 1, 2 and 4 for your Level 53 team?

The gear seems alright for the level, but the elements are not effective as a team, water may be alright as a healer, but Light would be more effective.

So with a team consisting of Earth Tank, Water Heal and Wind Damage I imagine fights would be quite long - I recommend either changing your Earth or Water pet to Light and keeping the other as tank (Water is easier to use as a tank, if that matters to you, but Earth works just as well!). That might help, but the named have become really mean as well, so I don't think it's necessarily you :D

If nothing helps I recommend just leveling your pets to level 60 so that you get another ability for all of them, they are very helpful, plus the proficiency point makes them a lot stronger! If you do get there let me know and I can send you some level 60 gear that will further help!

I do have an Earth as a tank in a build of lower level pets with better stats they are not max but much improved from basic around the 60s for each stat. It takes awhile to get used to how they can all work together. I have a light and and air in that build.

I believe a lot of builds have one tank and 2 attackers not sure how that could really work healing not comin into play but earth does heal every now and then. I might have to redo their proffeciencies on a couple and attune to different element.

Welcome back to the game! I returned about a year ago, pretty much around the time Leen did. And yeah, the fights can be brutal in the zone. I concur with Leen's recommendations. Water/Light/Wind at level 60 on tier 1 should go better. Folks might even be able to toss you some gear for level 60 from the Lost Grove. I have some I can send you as well if you want to go that route. Not much though at the moment, but if I get more I am happy to toss them your way. Just ping me if you want the gear.

And don't forget to use a philter of unlearning if you want to cap them at 60. You can get them in the Scale Shop.

Is it also better to cap the levells for normal play or just the arena at level 50 and 25.

Is there a reason does it make it easier to battle?

The cap is just if you don't want them to go over 60 during this fest, you can always use a philter of learning to uncap them. If they go over 60, the enemies will too and your team may not be as effective at that point.
