I'm a fairly new player and I'm a little frustrated at the moment, I could have sworn that the wardrobe said that it cost 1 diamond to get a new slot for an outfit, so I spent 1000 gold to get one diamond, now it's saying that I need 100 diamonds to get a second outfit slot, I can't afford to buy diamonds with real money and I'm never going to save up enough gold to buy 99 more diamonds since I keep having to spend big chunks of what I'm earning on food and healing, I don't know what to do....

Have you already used your original two slots that it gives you?
and no, it's always 100 diamonds to get a new slot :)

It gets easier to earn gold as you gain levels. Keep exploring and leveling your pets, but missions are by far the best way to earn gold - and they give you healing potions as well so you don't have to spend as much money on healing. Also, your pets heal over time as long as you are not in a battle. Take some breaks between battles to let your pets heal instead of using potions or healers.
Thankfully nothing that costs diamonds is *essential* to the game. So take your time and save up, I'm sure you'll get there!
Edit: Oh hey, I learned something new! Two outfit slots! That thing is not very intuitive...

You can have 2 slots by default. Just create another outfit. However, if you tried to create a third it would tell you that you can't.
For buying Diamonds, it's actually very easy to buy 100 Diamonds once you've played for awhile. We have some players who, over the course of time, have bought thousands and thousands of Diamonds with Gold.

I don't understand, it doesn't have a second slot, this is what is says right now
"Create an Outfit to automatically load a specific selection of colors, styles, and items for your Avatar.
You currently have 1 Outfit Slots available. You can purchase additional Outfit Slots for 100 Diamonds each"

When it say you have 1 available, it means you can create at least one more~ :3
When it turns to zero, THEN you'll have to buy more if you'd like to save more~ ^-^
