Why does it say at the top of some of my hatchlings "This pet is weak" or "This pet is derpy" ?

its a way for you to nurture the hatchlings, eggs also have these quotes above them. You have to click on the responding action. Nurturing gives you Scales which you can use at the scale shop and also give you a rare chance to gain essences.
