I was born in 1984, which makes me a Xennial. I grew up with cassette tapes, landlines (had a party line and rotary phone), drinking from a water hose, being outside a lot, but also technology grew amazingly alongside myself. I used a typewriter first, but that lead to having a computer, then the Internet, and now smartphones. Technology has advanced exponentially during my life so far and it has been a very interesting ride.

I have a bachelor's in psychology and work nights at a mental health crisis line. It is both incredibly stressful and rewarding. It has a high turnover rate, but I have been at it since 2008. Before that I did in person crisis work until from 2006-2008, but then my panic disorder made that impossible. It was hard to go in office to work at the crisis line, but now I can finally work from home. My panic disorder is mostly under control through medication and I am keeping my agoraphobia at bay as well. I have some kind of undiagnosed neurodivergence, not sure which one, and a TBI. Additionally, I have a plethora of other mental health and physical health issues.

Now that the boring stuff is over, I shall get to my pets. I have 4 dogs and 3 chickens. My chickens are ISA Browns, they are named Peaches, Lizzie, and Minx as named by my nieces. My dogs include 3 Pembroke Welsh Corgis and one Cowboy Corgi (Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Blue Heeler Mix). Due to not owning my own home I was unable to have dogs until 2022. My first dog is a tri-color, mostly black, Corgi who is named Zanzibar, he was born in November 2021. I rescued a tri-color, mostly tan, female Corgi who I named Moxie, born in May 2016. She was originally named Molly, but that was the name her abusers gave her and given her attitude, she is definitely more of a Moxie. Third is a tan and white, sometimes referred to as red and white, Corgi boy I named Joker, he was born February 2022. Lastly, I rescued a Cowboy Corgi, he is also tan and white, he has been named Yangus (originally Ollie), born March 2022.

Sad update: My chickens were lost/killed by a possum attack.

Zanzibar

This is my first pupper. He is the dog I always knew I would have one day. While reading a National Geographic as a child I saw the archipelago off the coast of Africa that was named Zanzibar and knew that I would name a dog that one day and it lived rent free in my head for a little over 30 years. His full name is Zanzibar Von Pupperbutt. His nicknames are: Boo-boo, Zani-boo, Lt. Zan, Zan the Man, Boobie, Love Puppy, Dan, Boosu, Boo-Boo Meister, and Monsieur Boo! He is very strongly bonded with me and hates being separated from me for even a minute. He is the one being in the universe with which I feel the most connected.

Moxie

Moxie was born May 2016, but I didn't adopt her until March 2022. She was originally named Molly and was formerly used for breeding, then fostered by someone else for a year. Moxie's full name is Moxie Moose, aka Moxie Moo, Moo-Moo, Moose, and Whirly Girl. She endured abuse for the first nearly six years of her life and was 31.6 pounds when I got her. She is only supposed to be about 22 pounds. She is now finally healthy physically, but is still recovering mentally. Moxie is incredibly scared of thunder and other loud noises, so she has to be given calming medicines and lots of cuddles during storms.

Joker

Joker was born on Groundhog's Day, February 2, 2022. His name inspiration comes from the Batman's Joker and Joker from Persona 5. He is the loudest of our dogs and has the most attitude. He gets very jealous over any attention paid to another dog, good or bad. He is hard to train due to being very hyper. He instigates a lot of play fights with the other dogs. If you accidentally bump him when he is sleeping, he will grumble growl, stand up, glare, and stop away somewhere he thinks he will not be disturbed. His full name is Joker Doodle-Dandy and his nicknames are: Doodle, Sweet Bunny, Grumble-butt, Thorgi, Doodle-Dandy, Little Man, Little Boy, and Mister.

Yangus

Yangus was born in March 2022. He was 10 months old when I rescued him and previously named Ollie. He was most likely about to be put down and shows signs of abuse, he was at least quite neglected. He has scars all over his face, his ears were both very infected, he was covered in mud, and infested with worms to the point he was very underweight and his fur was incredibly thin. He is named after one of the party characters in Dragon Quest 8. His nicknames are: Yangy-Yoo, Yangy, Gus, Goose, Yoo-Yoo, and Goosu. He is a Cowboy Corgi, and frankly the only one of my 4 herding dogs that actually knows how to herd and will do so. He rescued one of my chickens when she got loose and got lost. He will also herd the other dogs in addition to the chickens as well as any humans, other animals, and pretty much anything that will move. He weighs 10 pounds more than the other two boys.
