Hello! I really love designing themes and I'm always trying to improve my designs. I'm currently working on a Griffi theme for the summer festival.

I'm open to comments on colors, traits, theme name, pretty much anything! Here's the reference and my two working designs. They both have the same colors but different slots.

*Note: I have several more designs I'd like to ask about, please let me know if it's ok for me to ping you when I post about them

I really like this theme! Red, blue, yellow is one of my favorite palettes and the colors you used are very vibrant and definitely reminiscent of a sunset. One thing that kinda bothers me is the light blue of the base blends with the light yellow (g1 on first design). I do want to clarify that blending colors can make for a cool theme, for example the Spring Sorbet Luffox from last spring. But when they blend I also find it harder to find traits that I like on the theme. On the other hand I think the wings are pretty especially on the 1st design, the reddish orange is one of my favorite colors of all time.

Overall I like it a lot and it hasn't already been done with another Griffi theme yet. If you want me to play with it a little in the generator I wouldn't mind.

Feel free to mess around in the generator!

I tried a few different blues and I see what you mean about the blending. I'm also worried about the blend between the orange and the red. For example in the male of design 2 I worry that the orange in EC/M1 is too similar to the red in G1/G2. I would love some suggestions on how to separate those colors.

(sorry, for all the pictures, it's just helpful for me to see them side by side)

I made this design with the original blue. Some things to note: I made the g1 a red. I did this because if we're using a light blue, orange and red would be better as darker colors than yellow. (It still has some issues of blending with the g3 though. Maybe if I made the front fluff darker it would be easier.) I also made the eyes blue because I generally see the eye color as something you want to pop a little. It used in glowy effects and general accents. Feel free to mess with this design a little to make it more to your liking.

For the second design, I do think it's slightly harder for the mutations to blend with the genes as the mutations aren't just patterns on the body. Although I do think general color variance would be good to practice in your designs. I notice you use a lot of the exact same color, which I think you could win with some of the same colors, but also a variety is good too. It's about a balance I guess. You could try and look at last year's Griffi theme (Mango Dancer) and see what they do differently.
