it has in fact been roughly five years since the last species was introduced (ferrikki, early 2018)
The current focus is on finishing the species revamps (Bulbori's the last main one and then it's on to the more minor ones that are more general old trait/linework/shading/layering updates than complete overhauls)
However, pet art in general is kind of on hold at the moment since Fimbry, the site's pet artist, has a case of Brand New Baby
