Don't let the title confuse you, this is about pet design, but Dreamtale themed designs!
Last night, I designed a Dream-themed Aeridini to use as a profile picture. As I was doing that, I noticed... there's a tentacle "wing" mutation. And I noticed the "corruption" eyes. How could I not think of Nightmare?? So I designed him! Then a couple recolors for Passive/Young!Nightmare and Shattered!Dream. Here they are:

(I'm not married to this distribution of traits. I'm happy with the mutations, but the genes are eeeeeh...)

I am more than open to criticism for these! Especially the corrupted ones' genes. I'm not even sure I want them to have genes. Technically it would make sense for them to have no markings, but well...
   
Look at those lil voids ^^' you can barely see their shape, and I'm not sure if anyone would want to buy a 3vis project. So I did my best to find genes that say "drippy" or "liquidy" to me. I like the tribal spiral (on the tail) but oh boy, the body gene is... difficult. And the tribal spiral does look strange on its own.
So! If you like Dreamtale and would buy a project like these, let me know! However it is the middle of spring fest and also the middle of a completely different Aeri project of mine... so it'd probably be a long while before we saw the end product of any of these. For the non-corrupted boys, I think I could use the same model as my first project, but I'm afraid the regular essences would muddy up the black on the corrupted ones. So I'll probably need to amass a collection of enhanced and mystical essences, and design a new breeding model for em. Honestly I'll probably do these projects eventually no matter if anyone on the site even knows who they are, for my own enjoyment, but I'd like to know if I'm alone in this ^^
Update: Noticed that my reference for Dream was unofficial and a little off. Updated colors to be closer to the official design--which looks a lot better--by making C1 and G3 a little less saturated and M2 a little darker.
