Hello, I thought I would try this. I really hope it goes well.
Im new here, and havent been playing a lot. Real life keeps me busy, so I dont get to play a lot. but this site seemed like a nice place to visit when I have the time. Im not too familiar with pet? sites, but it sounded cool.
This is a bit different from what I thought it would be, but still enjoyable. if anyone has any advise to give me, I would appreciate it. and if anyone would like to be friends I would also love that, even thought Im still a bit shy. Dont mind if I take time responding, Im trying to be more social, but it still scare me a little.
so far I have tried playing the story on the world map, and it seems fun. I enjoy the battles, now that im getting the hang of it. any tips are welcome!

Welcome to Sylestia! I'm Fireflick, and if you have any questions feel free to pm me :)
I'm sure you've already gotten through the tutorial, but here's a few tips I find helpful!
~~~
1: I reccomend holding off on breeding/trapping pets unless you're really hooked on them. When you're newer, it's harder to earn gold and expanding stables can be costly. If you don't have the space, pets will be automatically released and it costs diamonds (hard to earn currency) to get them back. Unless they're themed, of course. Those are pretty cool :)
2: Town Healers are the biggest scam ever. As somebody who dumps money on them. . . don't. Your pets will automatically revive after fifteen(ish?) minutes and you can use potions/elixers/mushrooms/whatever for free.
3: Do missions. Grab a few extra pets that are high leveled (check advanced search) and send them on missions. They'll earn you a lot of extra gold, which is very benifical.
4: If you need gold, explore Trollsblight Caverns. (once you get there.) All of the treasure chests have gold - no traps - so you're fine. Actually, I think everything but the dungeon is like that, but I might be wrong.
5: Feel free to ask for help. Sylestia is one of the best communities I've encountered, and there are many players who will devote time and energy into giving you a solution to your problems. (Feel free to pm me!!)
Overall, welcome to Sylestia! If you need/want anything, feel free to ask. Also, if you want to reply to this, click the @ button so it notifies me!
Hope you have a great rest of your day/night!!
Hello ! Welcome to sylestia ! It look like you already have receaved the basics advices but there are a few i would like to add to that. ^-^
1. Get proper mission pets
It seem like getting the exp on your actual team would be nice but actualy, this will prevent you from using them in exploration for hours, not giving you nearly enough exp to be a worthy way to grind and lower your earning at the end of the mission.
Instead, you should use pets with the desired stat proefiency maxed out to earn a good amount of gold and an extra satchel. This will give you the perfect excuse to look for lv 60+ pets in sale, i would recomand using that oportunity to snag a few wild themmed as those can be both quite cheep and intersting if you ever want to start a project or just want to have more coordonated colors then usual. Keep in mind that they will not be usable in battle but mission will be avalable to them !
2. Familiarise yourself with the generator
I alwais invite new players to play with the generator as much as possible, this way you can start figuring out what speacie/trait/coloration you like and have a better understanding on how each traits is using the avalable colors.
3. Dont bring eggs/hatchling/adolescent in your stable early
Unless you plan on using the public sale feature this will only clutter your stable, you do not nead to do so if you are selling to a specific player. It take a bit less then a month for a pet to become adult, witch mean that during that time, it is logged freely in your hatchery, this give you more time to get aditional tab without neading to wory. It also act as a nice visual confirmation/alarm that they are ready to breed, somthing that can be quite usefull in projects or if you have a bad memory and dont want to check their growth all the time since you cannot see the maturity display in your stable.
I recommend using a light pet next. They are able to heal your team, so you won't have to buy as many potions. It might be a bit more tedius then choosing an offensive pet, but you will survive far more battles and it will be better in the long run. For your third pet, though, I recommend air.
AP is advanced points. They don't really function for anything besides buying avatar items (like hair, tatoos, etc.) or qualifying you for a stable hand. You earn AP as you progress in the game.
