I recently got to the mirror maze part and I looked at the maps that tell you which routes to take. Not only do I not understand the maps but the actual maze is confusing because the map says stuff like "sapphire" and "bronze" but I'm not seeing that in the text on the maze selection screen. How do I know which mirror is which? I'm just seeing "left" and "right" and have no clue what I'm doing.

Edit: I just realised it's the walls not hte mirrors that I should be paying attention to.

the colour descriptor is in the description of the room when you first enter it, though you seem to have figured that one out?

Each room has a Left mirror and Right mirror, and where those mirrors go is a fixed location per each room

So if you're in the Jade room, the Left mirror will always go to the Emerald room, and the right will go to the Amethyst room.
Silver room's Left also goes to Amethyst, while the right will take you to Sapphire room

Basically it's a bit like a real maze, but you start in room X, go left, end up in room Y, go left, get room Z, repeat until you hit a room you've already been in, then go right. Room you haven't been in? Left. Have been in? Right. That kind of thing. Probably helps to write them down as you go through them to keep track, but, that's basically it
