Personality:
He is snarky, sassy, and wise. He is the guy to tell dad jokes to other elves or humans. He is smart and can tell if someone lies to him. He also has the vibes of an elf whom seems to be older then the known elder elves even though appearance wise he looks younger.

Backstory:
Artemis has been in the king of the elves when he turned 20,000 years old. His father faded away during the night. Since then he ruled with kindness but with stern rules.

He also doesn't care about having a significant other since he feels that they are childern compared to him and that he can never see himself in a relationship with someone. When Elves go they fade and sleep in a place where all the other sleeping elves are and they wait. Artemis can't seem to fade honestly since he forgotten the curse he had gotten from along time ago from someone he can't seem to remember.

......It was fairly a peaceful day for the kingdom. Even though the queen has disappeared years after the war. The second prince was elected to lead till news of his mother has arrived. The people hoping for her safe return. People scheming in the shadows. News of a neighboring kingdom is coming to visit has spread through the streets and town. The festival for the safe passage of the queen is also the day of the visit.

......Some of the woman gossiping on what the ruler looks like of this visiting kingdom. Noble men and women plotting to see if the foreign ruler will have a marriage contract with one of the noble raising their ranks. Some nobles worry if the ruler of this kingdom would become an enemy. While others wanted to see if the kingdom would conquer their kingdom and take their riches for themselves.

......The ruler in question is walking down the capital streets enjoying street food getting strange looks from the people. Holding a black color hand fan in his left and eating the street food called dango. He was wears a loose but fitted fighting outfit that is dark green, black and gold. No guards to protect him though he could sense them in the shadows.

......He sighs softly at this and was slightly annoyed. He looked at the time and notice he has another hour to kill before meeting the second prince. He decided to go to a restaurant to eat before meet the second prince.

(Everyone is out here making assumptions, and Artemis is here to invert them all. No, he will not be marrying anyone, thank you very much. Im also going to tweak the timeline so that Tobiass mother has been missing for several years! For plot.)

Tobias really should be getting ready.

A foreign ruler is due to meet him in an hour, and making an ally out of him could secure the throne Tobias has been lusting after for the better part of the decade. Yet here he is, dressed in a general's armor with a well-fitting, red shirt and matching pants tucked underneath, sitting in the second floor of a restaurant. A zongzi sits in his hand, taunting, as he toys with the string holding the leaves together.

The king is set to visit on the night of a festival dedicated to the safe passage of the queen. The festivities have been hosted to pray to the spirits for the queen to overcome all adversities, and the zongzi is a part of one such ritual. Tobias attended a morning prayer with the priests, but he chose to leave the parade to the princess. She'll do well, he knows, and he's not quite ready to stand in front of the people and praise his mother.

It seems like he's not ready to wish her good health when he's alone, either.

Tobias lets his hand fall, and his gaze turns towards the man being ushered into the restaurant. Their eyes meet, and he finds the face of his visitor staring back at him.

......Artemis felt the gaze of someone. He knows it not his guards whom he specifically says to not watch him when he is out, but they never seem to listen to this. He looks up and catches the man gaze.

......He was slightly shocked but didn't let it show. He observed the man although a child in his eyes stares back at him. He was interrupt by the hostess leading him to a table. He was intrigued by the child since he looks like someone whom had a hard life.

......Artemis sighs and sits down and folds his fan and placed it on the table. Although he knows that this trip will be more intriguing then he thought. He also wants to know how the festival will turn out since the festivals at home are different and are rare.

The king turns, allowing the hostess to guide him away, and dark brown eyes bore into his back as he goes.

Is he toying with the second prince, Tobias wonders, by forcing him to come and offer a greeting to assert his position? Or, perhaps, accessing the prince's decorum to evaluate his worth as the kingdom's leader?

The courtly politics leave Tobias with one part intrigue and one part irritation as he calls for a bottle of the establishment's best plum wine. Even if the difference between their statuses are like that of the sea and the sky, it would only embarrass his country if he rushed to greet the foreign lord as its current leader, so he idles, leaving enough time for the ruler to place his order, before beginning to make his way downstairs.

When he's approached the monarch, finding him seated at a table with fan settled in front of him, Tobias folds in a full bow. "This prince greets the elven emperor. A greeting gift has been prepared in the palace, but this one hopes to have the honor of presenting the king with a bottle of wine as a sign of sincerity."

He straightens and meets eyes like a midnight sky. Again, their gazes have locked, and Tobias wonders what the king will do this time. The aggravation from before rears its head, and he wonders if the king is considering the possibility of a poisoned drink, impossible to refuse. Impossible to give as well, at the threat of war. What a shame; Tobias doesn't like being tested.

......Artemis looks at the child, though man in the eye again and muses slightly. Again he doesn't let his emotions show on his face. Artemis's eyes tell a different story of intrigued at the gift and wonder slight at what the wine will taste like.

......It's been awhile since he tasted wine from a different kingdom. Though he also likes the taste of tea more then wine. But wine with certain company or food can be quite fulfilling.

......He know that poison is out of the question since the two can't afford a war. Though war to him is something he likes to avoid regardless. So he replies to the child. "We accept the bottle of wine young prince. We hope this young prince isn't to busy to have a glass with us. A thank you gift for this invite to visit this beautiful kingdom will arrive shortly to the palace young prince."

......Artemis now wonders what the child's next move is. Though he would enjoy the company either way. He may be the monarch of his kingdom. His people can be quite overbearing on his protection, though he love his people and wants the best. Even if they are nagging childern and gives him a headache every day.
