But with her family, that was almost never possible. Her father was always really overprotective of her, being the only female child in the family. She had 2 older brothers, that were almost exactly like her father. She had wanted to see the city, always being fascinated by the modern life that city dwellers lived. Her mother had died when she was born, leaving her to be raised by her father. She enjoyed the farm, but never felt in place there. Living with guys meant there was bound to be injuries along the way. She also is sort of skilled with guns, but not the best. This world is weird. It takes place some time after The Cows Came Home, AKA the invasion of demon cows from what is basically hell after they were unwillingly used like... well, like cattle. they destroyed ranches, wrecked towns, and gave people a hard time before burning or goring them. And there's so much more going on. Cults, bandits running wild, a railroad across the west trying to be made, reanimated skeletons, ghosts, goblins, possible alien machines, and much, much more. and yet you live away from all of this, on a peaceful farm with your family and pet crow, Russel. But you are done with the simplicity of life. you want to make a name for yourself, or seek your fortune, or just get off this stupid farm. What will you do with your life once you leave?

After a nice brushing to make her hair look... nicer, she had the whole house to herself. there's quite a bit to do: stack some fallen firewood, read some books, talk to her pet crow, the usual.

Fay returned to her room to get dressed. Walking outside to where she would start beginning her usual chores, humming a light tune as she worked. Once shefinished, she looked for her crow.
