Here's the thread! Feel free to begin however and wherever, and just ask me if you're confused about the locations of anything. If you need a starting point, main street is a good option, as that's where Beckett's shop/home is.

The persistent clanging of a hammer on hot metal rang out from the inside of John's Smithy. Although John was technically dead now, Beckett refused to change the name, saying he didn't feel adequate enough to call himself a true blacksmith yet.
Vance sighed, brushing his stunning red hair behind his ear. He was currently sitting outside said blacksmith shop, scribbling down notes in his leather bound journal. He sighed again, louder, knowing that Beckett could hear his dramatics from inside. Beckett had kicked him out, saying that he was chattering too much while Beckett was trying to work. Vance talked a lot, and Beckett had come to be used to it. He actually quite liked the younger man's company, as he often let him know. The two had become fast best friends, being a true example of "opposites attract."
But today, Beckett couldn't handle it. He had a weapon to make for a high-end client that required secrecy. Not that he'd told Vance that, hence the gingers pouting on the curb in front of the smithy.

That one weird "demon child" that everyone kind of just stared at for being, well, weird, was just kind of roaming the streets a bit, and happened to be by the blacksmith, her ungodly-large greatsword on her shoulder.

Vance looked up, staring at the little girl. He was only mildly surprised to see her, and that was mostly because the sword she was carrying wasn't one he was familiar with. It definitely wasn't Beckett's work, it didn't have that signature flare of his.
Vance sighs, standing and approaching the child. Giant sword or not, she probably shouldn't be out here near sunset by herself. Before he could take two steps, Beckett flung open the blacksmith's door.
"Fine, I'm done for today. Stop pouting" he huffs.
"Good," Vance replies snippily, but with a cheerful grin on his face. "We should probably go check on that kid over there," he gestures. Beckett shrugs and follows Vance over.

The kid's greatsword did have some sort of... flare to it, both figuratively and literally. A trail of cinder specks fell from its wake, and the kid was humming sort of tune as she skipped around. Something seemed to be following her, something as fiery as her blade.
Hmm...

Beckett gently lays a hand on her shoulder, as to not startle her.
"You okay kiddo? Lost?" he asks gently, Vance hanging back and scribbling in his journal.

"Oh, lost?" she chimed, turning around with a slight swirl of cinder. "No, not all sir! Just roaming around~" The kid still held her utmost massive blade, though she didn't look anything over 12. Looks can be deceiving, however.
The child's pearl-white messy hair was a stand-out, ignoring her blazing amber eyes and the occasional flare on her dress of sorts.
