Not sure if this is a bug or just an annoying feature. I keep being asked to check my email and authenticate my account when logging in, even though I've done so three times already. Is this normal?

You can change your authentication settings here:
https://www.sylestia.com/account/settings/
Just select the option that best fits what you're wanting out of the system.
