You wake up next to a group of other children on some sort of a lift. Your mouth is dry and your head aches. This lift is slowly carting you and the others up to some sort of building. Something in your mind tells you that it's the citadel. Twenty-nine others are surrounding you. You try to recall what's happening, you don't remember anything, not even your name, other than that you are about to meet your people's deities. All of the children, including you, have a marking on their forehead; half of them are different than the others. Your's and fourteen other passengers have an opened eye while the other fifteen have a closed eye.
Some of your companions are weeping, others are staring through the gaps of the bars at the vast city below. You feel a tightness in your chest as the top of the spire before you draws closer. The other passengers begin to huddle together like scared animals in anticipation. Instinctively you join them, the comforting warmth encapsulating you.
Sometime later the lift stops for a moment, swaying gently over the city thousands of feet below. You're right before an opening into the palace for the gods now, your group is so quiet the only thing heard is the creaking of the transport. Then the doors stutter to life, pulling apart in a billow of warm air. With a whirr, your lift is pulled into the citadel.
You tense at the guards, all of which have the same forehead marking as you. You hold onto someone close by, stricken with curiosity and fear of what was next. A tall figure strutted from a door to your left as two guards from both sides marched up to the door, letting it fall open.
"Hello, esteemed guests! Welcome to the citadel of the gods.", The lanky demoness said with a half-bow. "Now, little ones, I need you to split into two groups-" She pointed at you and the others and then down towards the floor. "- Those with opened eyes on my right, those with closed eyes on my left."
You follow the group out, eyeing up the tall blue demoness warily. When all of you assembled, two sets of guards created a wall between groups. The interception was quick and rather frightening.
"Alright now, Cherubs," She turns to look at your group. "Would you be so kind as to follow me to the throne room."
You don't get a choice, you end up forced to move forward by the guards walking behind you. It wasn't too harsh, in fact, it was a gentle heading. You glance back to see where the other group is going, but all you see is the other wall of human and demon soldiers walking them away.
As you get closer to the Citadel's arcade, the light brightens enough to make your white clothes look like they're glowing. The light becomes blinding as the door opens to show eight-figures. All of them are drastically different in figure but lounging peacefully on their thrones.
Introduction
Welcome to The God's Spire! In his roleplay, your character will be one of the few chosen to become "true servants of your people's deities. True servants are mortals who work directly under the gods as either soldiers, waitstaff, cooks, or the lucky ones are sent back as prophets or priests.
None of the characters remember where they came from, but some of them might have keepsakes from a past life where you're dead. The characters will be given slips with their new names (The ones on their character sheets) and their placing (the job they will be trained for).
Not all characters have to be brand-spanking-new like the ones described in the passage above just to widen the number of characters, but there will be a limit on spots.
But the citadel is vast and mysterious, will you focus on your chosen destiny or will you try and find out its secrets?
Lore
In this world there are three races the most exuberant two being Humanity and Demons, the third being the gods, all born of pure energy. Demons will be described under the Demons paragraph. The Gods will also have their own part.
Your characters are all between the ages of fourteen and seventeen. The age group is chosen as they are perfect for the training to become true servants.
You don't need to know about the second group of children yet ;)
Demons
A race very similar to humans, just much taller with abnormally colored skin. They have cat-like eyes, horns that come in multiple varieties, and long, lion-like tails. (Just think Teiflings from DND w/ digitigrade legs) They are the older of the two races and slightly less common than humans. They have little magic ability linked to a pouch located right behind the sternum.
The Gods
All of the gods were born from the energy made when the solar system was born. There are eight of them total. Four of them are masculine while the other four are feminine, none have a discernable gender. They do call each other "brother", though.
The eldest, Dallnein (masculine) the god of spiritual energy, the one who created
The second eldest; twins, Sollarus and Mneumus. Sollarus is a feminine god, whose purpose is to provide and control the sun's rays. Their brother, Mneumus is masculine, a conductor of storms and the moon.
Feira (feminine) is the mother of all fauna on the planet, they're a guide for the life of every beast that swims, flies, and walks. They are commonly associated with fertility.
Kaldin (masculine) is the patron for plant growth and providing all creatures with a harvest.
Haldin, a feminine god who is responsible to collect the souls of those who pass. Not responsible for the process of death.
Axid (masculine) is the one who brings plague, natural disaster, war, and infertility, but only as a punishment for misdeeds amongst mortals.
Llianna (feminine) is a god associated with victory, celebration, and the performing arts. Brings inspiration to all artists and warriors.

Race: Demon
Gender: Masculine

Personality:
Silas is a gentle soul at heart but he's incredibly good at following orders. He's so precise he puts even the most well-trained and loyal dog to shame. He's happy where he is, especially because of the scarring on his back and wrists, but occasionally he thinks about what his life could have been and if he had a family that misses him. He's also very patient, rarely ever letting his anger get a hold of him. Silas has an occasional struggle with showing empathy towards others, especially new, and confused trainees. He tries to show support though, it might be as subtle as proximity or even sharing his food.
