man makes me want to perish (and does make my team perish), Anyone who has managed to work out any strategy against him and his dang horse? I cannot keep affording the Big Boss Training grounds cost or the superior ent flasks to be losing five times against him every week (that's ten battle trinkets and nine logs per fight!)

I have genuinely no idea what I have done ANY differently the times I've won vs the times I lose

From what I've been doing (what's worked the best for me); Currently still testing to see if anything can make it easier

Team; Earth, Light, Air
Usually have TA on and using lesser ent flasks (mit for tank, int for healer, str for cannon)
(edit; Training grounds at rank 5)

Start by using key 5 on air, key 1 attacks to save up mana, block on tank at full mana. Right before Horseman hits 50% hp (generally I drop this around the last 2-3 turns of air's key 5 buff) use key 3 and then decimate to drop the health as low as possible. Not 100% sure if this makes much of a difference, but all my best attempts utilize this and I believe it starts out the Steed and Horserider with lower hp when they split at 50% hp.

Once split, focus onto the Steed to kill (air key 3 usually gets thrown on pretty quick). I usually don't bother to block at Steed's full mana thought it might help reduce dmg (thorncoat can usually last for most of this enemy's duration in battle). Watch for when the Horserider puts a target on a specific pet and area; Once used, swap tank with the originally targeted pet in the targeted area and block on the full mana (not sure if this makes a difference yet). Swap tank back to first slot after mana resets.

Once Steed is low enough, (replace air's key 3 if needed) decimate to kill and then finish off the Horserider by repeating the earlier strategy, decimating when low on health

Updates:

Observation:
Targeting move targets both the pet AND the slot that the pet is in when the target is placed
Theory:
If a pet isn't moved from their initial slot after being targeted, they'll be hit by both a pet-target AND a slot-target strike, effectively doubling the damage they'll take

Observation:
More damage to horseman past his dismounting % does, indeed, leave him and the qit with less starting hp upon dismount

^ decimate took Horseman from over 50% to 25%

^ Horseman and steed starting at 84% and 79% hp after splitting
