So, I was in festival and caught 2 themed pets. And it said "enemies defend 0" so I know I caught them. But I do not have them in my stables or in my hatchery. And I'm kinda upset cause I didn't have those two yet.

I was in the festival when I was fighting the enemy, I haven't seen them run away before. I caught about 30 themed pets at the festival. Maybe they can run away there too? I am not sure.

Yes, the only place that pets do not flee is the Lost Grove. So every other area, including all festival zones, pets can run when you try to catch them. Sad when a theme runs, but not uncommon.
