For a long, long time, people assumed mythical creatures simply didn't exist. They're just something people back in the B.C. days made up when they were bored. If there were singing fish women leading sailors to their deaths, and winged horses jumping out of ladies' decapitated heads, surely there'd be evidence of it?


That is exactly what the mythosies have been relying on. Sirens pretending to be mute, hiding their tails with wheelchairs. Sphinxes hiding their lion half with long clothes and deliberately avoiding people. Kelpies simply refusing to shift to horse form.


But now, the mythosies have been discovered. Not only that, they're being hunted down. It's well-known that humans fear what they don't know- and these beings aren't something humans are knowledgeable on.

Personality- Friendly but slightly childish. Fairly mysterious and secretive, until she... isn't. Sometimes she's open as a book, other times she's more shut-off than a multi-billion dollar safe. Split-personality isn't the right word, but her secretiveness is a bit volatile. She adores reading and literature, especially poetry.
Backstory- According to herself, she's been around ever since legends of her kind has existed. All the other sphinxes, at least the ones she knows, are long-dead. She's hence a bit lonely and will gladly make new friends, especially ones where she can relentlessly ask them riddles.
Powers- She can learn any language, if given a few hours. This applies to unspoken languages, like sign language, and even computer languages like binary. She can also come up with riddles basically instantly, and when offered a deal, should she agree to it she is unable to break it.

Gender- Female
Personality- Nethimir is self-centered and rude to other people, and stays away from most others.
Backstory- Not much is known other than most of her friends/family were killed by a beast that roams the seas, which is why she stays away from others, she doesn't want what happened before to happen again.
Powers/abilities- Nethimir can use sign language/her voice to make a dark magic to do things like hunting and to 'summon' another arm.
Other- Nethimir calls herself a 'evil witch' to scare others off.

Usually, the coast is the same. Every day, the same people go to work, to school, to the same chores and the same cycles. On a warm summer day like this, there's some tourists on the beach.


But one is definitely... odd. Generally, on a summer day hitting the high 90's, someone does not wear long clothing and gloves. And yet, there is a woman doing just that.

Nethimir was sitting on the sand in a long cloak looking up at the sky, not minding the weird stares from others she got, because she got them every day.

After a bit, Nethimir started to look around, not seeing many people around. Nethimir sighed and looked down at her hand, staring at the glove on it.

Well, two ladies wearing long clothing on a hot day is quite a strange sight. Though the locals are probably used to seeing Neth do it, since she lives near here, seeing a second lady, who clearly isn't from here, dressed for a winter day is a strange sight. She's stretched languidly out on the sand, eyes closed in content.

Nethimir looked back up and saw another girl, dressed like she was. Nethimir wasn't used to seeing a human she had never seen before wearing clothing like she was, especially on the beach. Nethimir decided to not pay any attention to the other girl and looked out at the water, seemingly stretching out for miles.

The wind picks up a little, swishing salty spray into her face. A particularly large wave lightly laps against her knees before returning back to the massive blue mass of unending water. It startles the other long-clothed woman, prompting her to abruptly sit up.

Nethimir ignored the wave, fixing her cloak slightly so nobody saw what was underneath. She looked back at the other woman, wondering why she got so startled. Nethimir decided to ignore it and went back to watching the water.

The woman quickly moves back from the water, clearly disliking suddenly having wet legs. Her skirt is sticking to her legs now, which she visibly dislikes.

Nethimir kept looking at the water, not noticing the other girl.
