I'm not sure how to describe this bug(?) succinctly so forgive the slightly vague or confusing thread subject.

Anyway, on the general forum page (https://www.sylestia.com/forums/), without going into any of the specific forums, the rightmost column shows the Last Post in that forum with its respective title, last poster, and last post date. The titles don't seem to be in sync with what's actually the last post. Sometimes it says one thing, but when you click into the forum it changes, because the thread author had changed the name of the post. This also applies to deleted threads - the thread is deleted, but the title (and link) still show up on the Last Post column. If you click the link a pop-up tells you that 'this thread is deleted'.

This is a minor confusion point for the posts whose thread names have been changed, but I believe a genuine problem for the posts who have been deleted, especially since recently a bunch of inappropriate posts have started popping up in the newbie QnA forum. That forum is not posted to frequently so oftentimes an inappropriate post title remains in the Last Post column.

Unfortunately, this isn't so much a bug but a design flaw in how the Forums were set up years ago when we created these new Forums.

There isn't much I can do at this time without recoding a lot of the core infrastructure for how everything works. It's something I do plan on doing eventually, but probably not for some time.

If another one of those pesky posts comes up, are we allowed to make a placeholder thread with any random name in order to cover it in Last Post?

That would be understandable.

Can also ping me or try and grab my attention in Gen Chat and I can manually fix/remove it from the database.
