"You're right. I don't." She says, nodding. "Sorry..." Lilura looks at Casey, biting her lip, remembering that he had been in the prison longer.

He shook his head. "You have no reason to apologize. I didn't mean for..." The road suddenly turned treacherous, and all his focus had to be on the road

Lilura nods, and glances out the window as Casey payed attention to the road. "Do you think the car has enough fuel to keep going until we reach there?"

He glanced down at the gauge. "Yeah. We'll have to walk a way anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem." He concentrated as he drove; the way was even worse than he remembered, especially in a car like this. They moved slowly, rocking from side to side as the car crawled upward

"She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes..." Lilura sang under her breath.

Casey smiled and shook his head. It was getting dark. After more than an hour, they finally came to a high, stony valley that had grass and shrubs growing resolutely between the rocks. Casey parked the car. They were in sort of a bowl in the middle of the mountains. "We'll sleep here tonight and then tomorrow we start hiking."

"Okey dokey! Thanks for driving." Lilura says, hopping out of the car, glad to finally be on her own two feet. She pays the car gently on the hood. "And thank you great steed for taking us here.

Casey hadn't been able to get much sleep, and so he was up extremely early. Around them, the morning sun tinged the peaks with a golden light, making them appear to glow from the inside.
