Welcome back!
Let me answer your question to the best of my ability!! I believe that pets with regen points only occur after their design is revamped. The Lups were recently revamped and all traits that were not compatible with the new design were removed from the pets and replaced with 2 points if visible and 1 point if carried. You are often also able to change the colours. I think that you can only find regenable Zolnixi, Lunemara, Ny'veen and Lupora on sale at this point in time. I'm not amazing at explaining so, I hope it sort of made sense...
