Lilura looks out the window again, thinking. "You know," she mused sadly, "The guards and Hunters are good people in the eyes of nonIntutives. They're heroes practically..."

"See, but that's the thing. Regular people think we're monsters. That we don't belong when really, not all of us are bad. Kind of like you. You're really nice, and you could probably live among regular people as one of them."

"I don't know..." Lilura says. "With today's technology there is no escaping their grasp. Unless we run away like we're doing now. And we are different. some of our powers are dangerous and sometimes we don't use it correctly. They have every right to be afraid. But they have no right to lock is up like animals at a zoo... I've actually never been to a zoo, so I actually can't say that..."

He offered a weak smile at that. "You know, sometimes I wish that I had a better power. Like breathing fire. Then they would have a right to be afraid. When people are afraid, they tend to do things that hurt others. Like locking other people up "

"I wish I could pick locks instead of being agile... Then, maybe, I wouldn't be so clumsy." Lilura thought a moment longer. "But then, you know, we all wish and dream... what we don't understand we fear as well... Maybe secretly, people are in awe. That's why they test us. Maybe so they can figure out how to be more like us. All this time, we've wanted to be regular humans, but... what if all this time... they've been wanting to be like us?"

"If thats the case, then why do the people torture us? To test our endurance?"

"Maybe. What would you do if you were a human and afraid of what an Intuitive would do and never having dealt with one before and wanting to keep it under control, wouldn't you want to make sure it wouldn't be able to fight back? And, you know, without knowing what it feels like... Cause human cluelessness is a weakness we all have."

He nodded. "I guess I'm not sure what I would do. Probably not lock them up. That's the worst way to study things."
