"It needs to be destroyed," Saerien said, preparing a blast of energy to destroy the gargoyle.

Anonymous raised a hand. *wait. If you do, all the dark magic will explode out and kill us all. Do you want that?*

"I can make neutralize the magic. I can absorb the magic. It'll be fine," Saerien said.

*Nuetrelize will still make an explosion. And absorbing will kill you or make you evil.*

"Are you forgetting the gem embedded in my chest? I can lock the energy away there until I can safely dispose of it."

Anonyous frowned. *just trying to help. which you dont want.*

Black eyed the gargoyle carefully.

Saerien held one hand toward the gargoyle, and black tendrils began to pull from the gargoyle. Then a flood of black poured into the gem on his chest. In seconds, it was over.
"The spell is still intact, so if anyone were to re-energize it, it would still be functional. However, no energy, the spell lies dormant," Saerien said steadily enough, though he was pale.
