Amber swam out onto the opposite shore with nothing in her mouth. Shaking her fur, she noticed Bhab. Pretending not to know he was there, she continued to watch the water.

Bhab squawked and preened his feathers.

Lunging in again, she came out with a tiny fish. Judging by her expression, that's not what she had aimed for.

Bhab laughed and caught a large fish. He tore off meat and ate the fish.

She had ignored the bird and lunged in. A loud yelp went from the water, and red blood slowly erupted from the surface. Soon, Amber crawled out, pulling a fish as big as her. She shook the water off. She was shaking, obviously not expecting a fish of this size in such a thin river. Tearing into the meat, she soon had a bulging belly and a bit of fish left. The meat left was enough to be carried in her mouth, so she grabbed it with her teeth and ran into the woods.

Bhab follow but was careful to stay out of sight.

Taking a confusing twist in burrow systems, she knew that anyone would have trouble following unless they were close enough to see her, in which case she would see them.

Bhab gave up and went back to the river

Popping out at the secret cave, Amber nursed her kits.

Lint yawned and woke up. Getting up, she wandered around.

Bhab flew up and explored some more.
