Lint shook her head. "It's not gonna work . . .Blood circulation doesn't go through wounds well." She took a small tube and put it gently into her sleeping pup's throat. Putting water through it, she stopped every once in awhile to see if Vix was getting better.

"Fine......." Claudio said. He sat down and cut up the baby bird.

After a while, Vix's heart rate seemed to go back to normal.

Claudio cooked the meat hoping the sweet aroma might wake up Vix.

Vix smelled the bird, but started growling as if he could see the bird in his dreams.

Claudio finished cooking it and waved a slab of meat above Vix's face trying to get him to wake up,

In his sleep, Vix growled and snapped at the piece of meat.

Claudio let the meat down beside Vix. "He will eat it I am sure." Claudio laughed.

Lint pushed the meat away from Vix. "Can't you see it's giving him nightmares?" She gestured towards the growling and turning pup.

"Sorry........." Claudio sat down and relaxed eating some of the bird meat.
