it doesn't take her long to completely fall asleep.

He picks her up and goes to sit down on the ground, still holding her close

Her tail is wagging happily. She yips again, licking him cheerfully and bounding around him.


"..Welp. That's not my problem anymore." She heads back over to Ares.

Wren tilts his head. "Aren't you a seelie? What're you doing so far away from your kingdom?"

"Using a shortcut."

"Wouldn't a trod be easier?"

"Yes, but I haven't been able to find any."

"Ah. Well, where are you headed? I may be able to tell you a trod to find."

"It's not far from here, I don't need a trod."

she stirs a bit, but stays fast asleep.

Ares would've started playing with the wolf but Isiea had come back, so...

Mab was listening intently, trying to find out where she was going.

She probably would've went back to sleep if he did.

"Oh. How close? The border is fairly far away."

"Yeah, but Ares is fast."

"'Ares?' Is that the name of your kelpie?"

"Yeah."

"That's a cute name. The dyre wolf licking him is Glaze."

"That's cute." She sounds completely disinterested and incredibly impatient. Wherever she's going, she's in a hurry.

Ares perked up at the sound of his name.

Which, of course, made Mab suspicious.

"You look familiar. Have we met before?"

"Nope."

"Are you sure? What's your name."

"Isiea."

He turns to Mab, confused. "Isn't your mom's name Isiea?"
He's... sorta close. Firstly, it's Isirinia. And it was her paternal great-grandmother, who was outcasted from the family and forgotten about.

It would've been fine.
